So, September now. Admit it, guys, you were unrealistic, have overestimated your abilities, screwed up the planning and now you are basically killing it with $999 price tag.

You want to make it look like a luxury case, so you could recover your project, I get it. To make it luxury, for $999, you must build it in Europe, and that is where you should have started in the beginning. If you are still building it in China and selling for that price, you are screwed.

I missed the backing phase on kickstarter, still I ordered the NSG-S0 months ago for a good price . And despite numerous delays, I don't regret it for these reasons:

    1. phase change cooling is, well, cool. I can say so much from a physicist and engineering view.
    2. (almost) passive cooling without loss of high-end performance sounds very promising
    3. phase change cooling is an exclusive way of cooling my pc. Even more exclusive than custom loop watercooling.
    4. custom watercooling is more expensive, depending on how exclusive you build

The following reasons are more personal, so they might not apply for you:
    5. current PC hardware prices prevent me from upgrading my system anyway. It's not that I can't afford that, but I refuse to buy outdated hardware at twice or thrice their sensible price, when they only perform marginally better than my 2011 high-end system. A price-drop is inevitable, at least with the expected release of new nvidia graphics cards, and even Ryzen2 this summer.
    6. I rather get a well manufactured product (and a product at all, Calyos), than having to resort to a liquid-cooling solution again. It's not that I don't like liquid cooling per se, but there is a reason why I decided to go for the NSG-S0, and I stay adamant about that.

Still, I have to admit your concerns seem justified and voice my own:
The original price-tag seemed like a good deal to me, not just reasonable, and led me to expect similarly reasonable pricing for the optional addons. I believe, I would have considered buying for a bit more, so 820€ (999$) is not a dealbreaker for me.
However, I bought the original package with an eye already on the second GPU cooler option. And I fear, to compensate for the lack of revenue, Calyos will price the options significantly higher than originally intended.
Also, in terms of later upgradeability, I expected more CPU and GPU plates to be available for some time after release, and I'm now afraid they will be unreasonably costly, which might kill the entire market for upgrades.

But then I might be wrong and I sure hope I am. Once Calyos learns to keep us up to date, I'm full of anticipation towards September (and I hope we'll have Threadripper 2 by then).

If the US price is 999$, that’s fine for you, but the price isn’t 820€, it 999€ in the EU.  I would have waited to buy until the first cases shipped but at a price point of 999€ I’ am going with a water cooled system.

If they aren’t able to make their own case for a reasonable price, they should sell the cooling solution to a case manufacturer.

It is a very cool product, sadly I will not buy it at this price tag.
